DeWitt Thompson serves as a director on The Shaw Group Board of Directors. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thompson Machinery Commerce Corporation, a Caterpillar distributor serving Tennessee and Mississippi with heavy machinery, on-highway trucks, and power systems. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of Aries Clean Energy.

DeWitt founded PureSafety in 1999 and served the company as Chairman until its acquisition by Underwriters Laboratories in 2011. He is also an owner and director of the Nashville Predators and previously served on the boards of Wealth Access and Nikola Corporation.

DeWitt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Vanderbilt University.
