Ashton Hudson serves on The Shaw Group Board of Directors as a director.

Before beginning his investment career, Ashton practiced law at Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP, focusing primarily on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and securities law.

Ashton has served as a director for Forestar Group, Inc. (NYSE: FOR), where he was a member of the Audit, Compensation, and Corporate Governance Committees. He also served as a director of the Jacksonville Electric Authority, the seventh largest municipally owned utility in the United States, where he chaired the Audit and Finance Committees and held a two-year term as Chairman of the Board. He serves on the Florida Board of Directors of Fifth Third Bank and is President of Rock Creek Capital, overseeing all aspects of the firm’s investment activities. 

Ashton earned his Bachelor of Science in business and accountancy, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 1994. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Wake Forest University School of Lawn in 1997, where he was a Cooke Foundation Scholar, Articles Editor of the Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
