Shaw Projects & Modules successfully completed the EPCM scope for Praxair in 2019 on a major syngas facility located in the United States.
The project encompassed engineering, procurement, and construction services for a HyCO unit that produced 44 MMSCFD of high-purity hydrogen and 17 MMSCFD of carbon monoxide. Shaw executed the process unit and balance of plant scopes. Praxair supplied the cold box and related proprietary equipment.
SMR Syngas to CO
Client: Praxair
Location: USA
Scope: Turnkey
Shaw Projects & Modules completed the EPC scope in 2017 for a steam methane reformer (SMR) syngas facility designed to produce 13 MMSCFD of high-purity carbon monoxide from natural gas.
Shaw was responsible for the design and construction of the process unit and balance of plant systems. The high-purity CO product was generated through a process utilizing Praxair-supplied cold box and proprietary equipment.
1,000 TPD Biomass Gasification Unit
Client: Confidential
Location: USA
Scope: FEED & EP
Shaw Projects & Modules completed front-end engineering design (FEED) and engineering and procurement (EP) services in 2022 for a biomass-to-gasoline facility for a confidential client in the United States. The facility was designed for a syngas throughput of 56 MMSCFD.
The project included conceptualization through final detailed design of a fully modularized and novel gasification system. Shaw P&M worked closely with multiple stakeholders to align technical requirements and project goals.
