Jonathan Siegler is a Managing Director and member of Bluescape Energy Partners’ investment committee. He also serves on the firm’s Valuation, Compliance, and Risk Committees. Siegler serves on the boards of many portfolio investments and plays a crucial role in performance management, strategy, investment decision-making, and transaction execution.

Previously, Siegler held the position of Senior Vice President of Strategy and M&A at TXU Corp., where he contributed to the design and implementation of a performance improvement program, ensured the maintenance of a competitive market in Texas, crafted TXU’s new build generation strategy, and led the sale of TXU to an investment group led by affiliates of KKR, TPG, and Goldman Sachs. Before joining TXU, he was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, focusing on strategy, finance, and operations within the energy and industrial sectors. He has led strategic turnaround projects for exploration and production (E&P) companies and power companies, as well as operational turnaround work at power plants.

Earlier in his career, Siegler served as a lieutenant on the nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine USS Pennsylvania (SSBN 735B), where he qualified as a naval nuclear engineer and received three Navy and Marine Corps achievement medals for his superior service. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated with distinction.
