HOUSTON, TEXAS, March 18, 2025 – The Shaw Group is pleased to announce that Clarence Leu was appointed to lead Shaw Projects & Modules Business Unit effective March 3, 2025.
Clarence brings more than 40 years of EPC project experience and has successfully led teams on projects in Trinidad & Tobago, the United States, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. His background includes leadership positions with major EPC firms such as KBR, Bechtel, and Wood Group and key roles with major operating companies, including BP, BHP Billiton, and Saudi Aramco. In his new role, he will continue to oversee the project execution group, including Project Controls and Estimating, while assuming overall responsibility for the Shaw Projects & Modules Business Unit, including operations and support functions.
Shaw Projects & Modules was formed in 2024 and is the engineering, design, module fabrication, and project delivery arm of The Shaw Group. The business unit was formed by combining the legacy operations of Shaw’s Lake Charles module shop and two engineering companies acquired by The Shaw Group (Chemex Global, acquired 2021 and KP Engineering, acquired 2023). This fully integrated engineering, procurement, and fabrication (EPF) company has every engineering and design discipline on staff, global procurement capabilities, a world class module and pipe fabrication footprint, industry-leading project management and project controls capabilities and systems, and can design and deliver highly modularized facilities, handling projects from the conceptual stage through commissioning.
“Clarence’s extensive experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our Global EPF capability,” said Dan Simpson, CEO of The Shaw Group. “We are committed to becoming a best-in-class organization that delivers exceptional results and earns client loyalty, and we are confident Clarence will play a key role in achieving this goal.”
