The Shaw Group Awarded Modularization Study for U.S. Energy Company
HOUSTON, TEXAS, October 9, 2024 – The Shaw Group is pleased to announce it will conduct a modularization study and a Class 4 estimate for a U.S. energy company’s carbon capture and storage facility.
As experts in modular design and fabrication, Shaw, through its Projects & Modules business unit, will review the existing process design and identify modularization schemes that will reduce field-installed quantities, maximize schedule efficiencies, and minimize site risks. Leveraging modularization will enable safe, high-quality module fabrication in a controlled environment and support a seamless installation at the site. This facility is designed to capture 3.5MTPA of carbon dioxide and will decarbonize the electrical grid along the US Gulf Coast.
