The Shaw Group Awarded Pipe Fabrication Contract for Renewable Fuels Manufacturing Facility
The Shaw Group is pleased to announce it has secured a project award from a leading downstream energy company. The project includes pipe fabrication services for a renewable fuel, refinery conversion project on the west coast.
Shaw’s project scope includes fabricating approximately 7,000 pipe spools. The almost 71,000 linear feet of carbon steel piping is expected to be complete by the fourth quarter of 2021.
The Shaw Clearfield, Utah facility was selected to complete the project at its 20-acre site. The shop has a monthly capacity of 4,000 spools and features a strong, well-qualified union labor force that helps maintain its ASME S, U, and R quality stamps.

A new ownership group and management team recently acquired and revived the former company’s 2.2 million square feet of fabrication and manufacturing capacity.
