HOUSTON, TEXAS, August 8, 2024 – The Shaw Group, a global leader in pipe and module fabrication, has announced a recent change in leadership. Mike Childers, former President & CEO, of 4+ years has been appointed as Vice Chairman and Major Accounts Development and Dan Simpson has been named new Chief Executive Officer.

Dan brings 30+ years of global manufacturing, EPC, power and module industrial experience to his new role. Throughout his extensive career, he has held various leadership positions for several global operating companies. Prior to joining The Shaw Group, Dan served as Global VP of Turbo-Machinery for Siemens Energy, Executive VP of Global Operations and Global Solutions at Dresser-Rand, a Siemens business and at Honeywell Process Solutions as Director of Operations and Service for Asia Pacific. In addition, Dan spent the first eight years of his career in the downstream Oil & Gas Engineering and Construction industry working for Kellogg Brown & Root, a former subsidiary of Halliburton.

Dan holds a degree in construction science from Texas A&M University.
