Paul Head, Chief Operating Officer, MENA

Paul Head serves as Chief Operating Officer, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for The Shaw Group.

Paul has 34 years of experience across the global energy sector, covering downstream, upstream, and LNG facilities. His expertise includes asset management, operations, engineering, fabrication, EPC, and EPCm, with notable involvement in constructing and commissioning the first LNG facility in the Philippines. Paul has a successful track record working within international energy companies, publicly listed global MNCs, and private equity-based organizations, playing a pivotal role in establishing new markets and country entry portfolios in executive roles.

Paul holds an MBA with First Class Honors from Middlesex University, London, and an undergraduate degree in business administration and management. Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, he leads the development and implementation of growth strategies, to achieve predictable, consistent, and exceptional strategic and operational outcomes. Paul’s extensive leadership experience spans business establishment and profitable growth in engineering, asset management, and fabrication services across Australia, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, India, and the East Mediterranean.

Over the past fifteen years, Paul and his family have lived in multiple countries overseas which supports his multiculturalism and understanding of different nationalities to foster cohesive and supportive work environments.
